FAQ’s

I tattoo on weekdays from 12-5pm. Once a retainer fee is received I will send a link to my online schedule, appointments are booked on a first come first serve basis.
Generally, I’m booking 4-8 weeks in advance.
I have a minimum charge of $200 for all tattoos unless otherwise stated.
I charge an hourly rate of $200 (rounded to the nearest 15 min).
Custom tattoos can vary in complexity and the best way to get an idea of the cost is to request a quote.
My full day rate is $800 (roughly 4-6 hours).
A retainer fee is used to secure an appointment spot. The retainer fee covers set up costs for your appointment as well as the time required to draw your design.
Appointments will not be booked untill a retainer fee has been received.
This fee goes towards the cost of your appointment. If your tattoo will take multiple sessions it will be applied to your last appointment.
Retainer fees are non refundable with no exceptions.
The retainer fee will range from $50-$200 depending on the quoted price of your tattoo.
I accept e-transfer for retainer fees and cash for the remaining balance at the time of your appointment.
Yes, all tattoos can be touched up for free, one time as long as you have reached out within 6 months of your appointment.
Additional touchups or touchups outside of this time frame will start at $50.
Rescheduling is allowed one time with a minimum of 1 weeks notice.
Additional rescheduling will require a new retainer fee.
Appointments rescheduled within 1 week of your appointment time will require a new retainer fee.
In order to protect my income and livelihood I am unable to make any exceptions to my rescheduling policy regardless of the reason for cancellation.
If you no show an appointment (no text or email prior to your appointment start time) you will be banned from booking future appointments.
No, retainer fees are not held. If you are unable to reschedule within a timely manner (within a few weeks) you will lose your retainer fee.
If you are going to be late for your appointment please let me know asap. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late you may risk forfeiting your retainer.
I prefer for clients to come on their own, but if you choose to bring a guest they must be respectful and not disturb the appointment.
No, a photo ID will be required when filling out the consent form to verify you are over the age of 18.
Yes! A drink and snacks can help you get through longer appointments especially if you are prone to dizziness/nausea.
I do not send out designs in advance.
We will review the design in person during your appointment and make any changes/adjustments necessary.
Keep in mind that drawings look very different compared to seeing the stencil on your body.
I do my absolute best to make sure that I am providing quality designs. As long as you’ve communicated all of your ideas as clearly as possible and aren’t making changes to your request you should love your design.
It is your responsibility to make sure that all of your ideas have been communicated in advance. If you have any changes to your design I must be notified a minimum of one week before your appointment in order to accommodate them.

The general concept of your tattoo, described in as much detail as possible
The size of your tattoo (roughly, in inches)
A photo of the placement (either a photo of your own body or a photo of a similar sized/placed tattoo)
Any reference photos

Policies and Important Info

Consent Form

A consent form will be provided to you at the time of service. Please ensure that you review all information before booking your appointment.

You are over the age of 18 and have consented to a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo or permanent tattoo
You are not currently pregnant or nursing
You are not on blood thinning medications or medications that can cause blood to thin
You are not prone to keloid scarring
I understand that a tattoo can only be removed with a surgical/laser procedure, and that any effective removal may leave permanent scarring or disfigurement
You are not currently undergoing chemotherapy and have not had chemotherapy within the past 12 months
You are not currently under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs and have not consumed alcohol within the past 24 hours
You have not taken any pain medication or anticoagulant (blood thinning) medicine before the procedure
You do not have any infections or rash on the body. You do not have acne, psoriasis, eczema or skin conditions in the area to be treated
You have not been on acne medication (Accutane) within the past 6 months
You have provided a doctors note if you have ever had a history of HIV, autoimmune disorders, blood thinners, diabetes (newly diagnosed), hepatitis, hemophilia or any other medical condition that would affect your ability to heal
You have not had injectables (fillers or neurotoxins) in the procedure area within two weeks prior to your appointment (If applicable)
You do not have any sensitivities to dye, pigments or numbing (lidocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine) or if you do you have undergone a patch test application prior to the procedure
You have been provided with and understand the aftercare instructions for your service and will follow them to the best of your ability
You understand that all semi-permanent tattoo services are a 2-step process and may need additional touch-ups depending on skin type, lifestyle, aftercare, prior medical conditions and results hoping to be achieved (If applicable)
You understand that no guarantees can be made on the results of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing and/or permanent tattooing as many factors such as skin type, lifestyle, aftercare and prior medical conditions can affect the outcome and are beyond the artists control
You understand that with any tattoo services comes the risk of infection, particularly when aftercare is not followed. If any infection occurs you are responsible for seeking advice from a medical professional. All services are performed with sterile instruments and are performed according to the Body Modification & Health and Safety Code in Manitoba therefore any infection occurring after a procedure is the responsibility of the client
You have discussed the design (shape, colour, style, etc) of your semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo and/or permanent tattoo procedure and have consented to continue with the procedure. You consent to any actions taken by the artist that are reasonably necessary to perform the procedure
You understand that while semi-permanent your service is a form of body modification, specifically tattooing and will result in a change to your overall appearance for the duration of the service’s longevity (If applicable)
You understand that variations in shape, colour and overall appearance may occur once the procedure area has healed. And a minimum of two sessions are required to see ideal results for semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing and/or some permanent tattoos
Treatments such as laser, injectables (fillers or neurotoxins), surgery or other skin and/or muscle altering treatments may affect the healed result of the procedure

The procedure you are consenting to is a semi-permanent and/or permanent procedure that is individual to you. Every effort is made to ensure you are consenting to services that are in your best interest but there is a risk that you may be dissatisfied with the result. Your artist will take steps to minimize this risk but in the event that the result does not meet your expectations your artist assumes no liability.

By signing this document, you acknowledge that you have been given every opportunity to ask questions, and all questions have been answered to your satisfaction. You acknowledge that you have read the information above and agree to continuing with the procedure.

aftercare

instructions

I use adhesive bandages to wrap all tattoos unless there is a known adhesive allergy.

Leave your second skin on for approximately 5 days unless the bandage has been compromised.
Remove the bandage in the shower, sometimes bandages will be difficult to remove.
Rinse with water or use an unscented soap
Pat dry with a clean towel any time your tattoo is exposed to water for 2 weeks after your appointment.
Do not use excessive moisturizers, if your tattoo is feeling tight or dry you may apply an unscented lotion to your tattoo. Dry healing is preferred.

Avoid sweating excessively while your second skin is on or for a minimum of one week post appointment.

Avoid submerging/soaking your tattoo in water for two weeks post appointment. Showering and short contact with clean water is fine.

Keep healing tattoos out of the sun and do not use sunscreen on your tattoo until it is fully healed. Adhesive bandages can increase your risk of sunburn.

It is normal to have a buildup of blood and fluid under the bandage.

Less is more, the less you touch your tattoo the better it will heal, avoid picking and scratching.

Redness and swelling are normal for a fresh tattoo, if you suspect you are having a reaction/infection it’s best to speak to a medical professional.
